This was an old Villa, with different levels following the contour of the hill. The two-level area consisted of kitchen/dining/living/powder room area and an open studio upstairs. The three bedrooms are accessed down the hill thorough a series of open stairs. The new concept for the design was based on the owners wish to have most of the amenities close avoiding many stairs. The new project has 5 stories with an elevator and the main entrance to the house now on the third level. The lower level has a new kitchen, dining, living, powder room, storage and elevator areas. The first level has a guest bedroom, bathroom, closet, and elevator areas. The second level will be the main entrance and will be the entertainment area, with a kitchenette, full bathroom, half covered and half open terrace, a pond with fountain and elevator area.
The Third level is the master bedroom, with closet, covered terrace and a master bathroom. And the Forth level will be an open space with a half closed bedroom, open shower, bathroom, a terrace with "pergolas" (wood columns to support wood beams and wood slats on top) and the elevator area.
